Reawakening
Band Members: Brian Pearl, Mr.Lucky, Lycan Radix, M:Zeven 2010 was a hell of a year for Marrok. Reawakening was the initial signal for the rise of Austria's finest rock band – a claim proven by awards, features in newspapers and on television, numerous gigs and the support of an ever growing fan-base. There's a reason to all this: singing leads, heavy rhythm guitars, forceful and driving drums and – of course – lush, melodic vocals. Marrok started in 1999, gaining first successes with their EP 'Extreme' and the Austrian Newcomer Award. In the years to come, their sound evolved from what was then Funk-Metal- Crossover to their very own mixture of modern rock. Metallica's heavy riffing, the angst of Avenged Sevenfold, the tune of Alter Bridge – it's all in there, and much more. To continue their straight way of success, the band releases their third studio album ‘Midnight Carnival’ in March 2011. The new songs sound even more diversified, epic and and a bit more freaky. As a consequence, the fanbase is enormously growing and Marrok gets more and more attention of the media. Numerous features in music television and magazines show that the band is on the right path. The new music video for ‘Silent River’ gets great response and promises even more for the next to come.. Solo shows in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as great support shows (Papa Roach, Alter Bridge, Skindred, 4Lyn,...) in 2011 lead Marrok to the next level. In January 2012 a new member completes the band. M:Zeven becomes the new guitarplayer at Marrok. The new album is in progress and will be released in June 2012. Read more on Last.fm.
