Matthieu Reynaud, known artistically as Mattyeux, was born on November 3, 2001 in France. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in music, influenced by his father, who was a musician and taught him how to produce. In 2018, Matthieu formed the electropop duo Videoclub with his then-fiancee, Adèle Castillon. The group quickly gained notoriety with their single “Amour Plastique”, released in September 2018, which captured the essence of the synthpop sound and became a hit on digital platforms. During their time with Videoclub, they released several hit singles, including the well-received debut album Euphories in 2021. However, the duo separated in March 2021 due to their personal breakup, although they continued working on musical projects individually. As a solo artist, Mattyeux has explored new musical territories, collaborating with other artists. One of his most notable works was the single “Émotions Saturées”. Another of his notable collaborations was with Princess Chelsea on the song “Sometimes” In 2024, Mattyeux released his album Mirages, which has been critically acclaimed and cemented his place in the contemporary music scene. This album shows his evolution as an artist and his ability to mix genres, combining nostalgic influences with modern sounds. With introspective lyrics and catchy melodies, Mirages has resonated with a new generation of listeners, highlighting their ability to capture the essence of human emotions through their music.
