Rokuro
BBoy Park 2003 champion Meiso remains an elusive figure in the Japan indie hip hop scene to the present day. First emerged in the mid 1990's with DJ Kyota, to present day developments ranging from Stop Rakkasho Project - 40 Muchi No Chi with Mouthpiece, Hisomi Tnp, Kakumakushaka, Eleven, and Shing02, to 8th Wonder in Immigrate Us and El Topo, Meiso continues to remain in the mythos of some of Japan Indie's cult fan bases. Transplanting himself in Honolulu Hawaii in 1998 under the pseudonym Kara, Meiso has found a new home in the Hawaii Indie community. Collabing with the likes of Rebels Escaping Chaos, Direct Descendants and Lionz Of Zion Noob Saibot, Risup of SIQ Records(Hunger Pains/12 Species), Seph1 of SIQ Records(Hunger Pains/12 Species/Microscopic Syllables, Spacifics, Tempo Valley), Kelvin Zero of SIQ Records on their freshman debut album Vinyl Fantasy released in the fall of 2004, Meiso continues to leave a subtle mark on Hawaii's Indie scene. Some of his current activities include an A1 compilation feature under Shing02 and Mary Joy Records. His current self produced EP installment Jitensha is currently available as a digital download release on SIQ Records, which is a prelude to his full length release slated for March 2008. Be on the look out for an influx of Meiso in 2008. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
