Coronation
There are at least two projects utilizing the moniker Mesmerized, a band and a Russian Trance Artist. 1) Russian Stanislav Chetverikov has released a whole slew of originals and remixes, including Pearl Maker on the Armada compilation Magic Island - Music For Balearic People. Active since 2007, Stan is amongst many lesser known Trance artists with the potential to rise from obscurity. 2) The band was founded in June 1997 by Beton (bass/vocals) and Gacek (drums), under the name Demonicon. At the beginning, only cover's were played, but soon they started to write their own music. In 1998 the name changes to Mesmerized. This whole year all members spent on honing their skills and recording the first garage demo-tape. Early next year, the current guitarist enters the band - Wrak. In June 2000 the band gets invited to Mirosław Gila's (guitarist of Collage) studio, where Mesmerized commits to recording their first single-track: About: Exterminate Love. The ballad has been played by the following individuals: * Beton - bass and vocals * Wrak - guitars * Gacek - drums Also in the year 2000, the band starts playing their first live shows, i.e. in the polish towns Otwock and Milanówek, together with Opus Nocturne and Vedonist. Fall 2002 - drummer Gacek leaves the band, and Wariat takes his place. At the same time, guitarist A.D. Gore joins, but leaves soon after for the death/grind act Pyorrhoea. Mesmerized is once again left with 3 members. The whole next year was spent on a search for the second guitarist, which ended successfully by having Amoniak joining the death-squad, which then plays as a support act before Gortal and Sceptic. After a few other live performances, the drummer Wariat leaves the band, who is then replaced by the current member Sargon (around October 2004). The new blast-beat-machine is then being put to work on another live show, played with Thunderbolt and Human's Dust. Time for the first full length blasphemous utterance then comes. Coronation was recorded at the M. G. Studio in Warsaw, which is then being presented live at a few other gigs where bands like Archeon, Daementia and Yattering could have also been seen. The tempo's increased, and it came clear to the band they needed someone who could exclusively regurgitate his guts onto the microphone. That's when Lobo joined, with the previous vocalist - Beton - still growling and screaming in support. New material is being written, and then presented live at the Warsaw Club Rock, with Abussivenes being the headliner of that night. On February it once again turns out a studio needed to be visited. So, at the KPD Studio in Warsaw, Mesmerized records 4 songs for the split called Declaring Deathreich Decalogue, where one will also be able to listen to performances of another metal act - Sturmgewehr 666. The record will be released by Butchered Records, USA. On late summer of 2006 the band signs a deal with Heavy Horses Records, the label which is to release the re-mastered version of Mesmerized's first album - Coronation - at the beginning of 2007. Currently, as of December 2006, new songs are being written, which will probably recorded around summer 2007. Current line-up: * Beton - bass and vocals * Wrak - guitars * Sargon - drums * LOBO - vocals Read more on Last.fm.
