NiNJASPARK was founded 2005 in Helsingborg, Sweden by Jim Knutsson, Linus Wadström, Pär Fredriksson and Erik Berglinden. They lied and claimed they had a band even though they had never even touched an instrument. This led to a band booking at Alice In Videoland in the neighboring village of Ängelholm and NiNJASPARK were simply forced to get instruments, learn to play and create songs in less than a month. In the late 00s, NiNJASPARK was an integral part of the Swedish bitpop scene. Some may remember NiNJASPARK's chaotic live performances at the Arvikafestivalen, among others. Someone else probably saw them get mercilessly roasted by Bert Karlsson in one of TV4's popular program Talang. NiNJASPARK disbanded in 2011 after releasing the last album 'Ninjaspark are fucking dead'. After a 13-year hiatus, NiNJASPARK now consisting of Jim Knutsson, Linus Wadström and Marcus Johansson reunited in 2024 with a new EP EXTRALIV and a gig at Subkultfestivalen. Read more on Last.fm.
