Electro pop band Overrocket was formed by techno producers Mitsuto Suzuki, Takashi Watanabe and female vocalist Michiyo Honda in Tokyo. Takashi Watabe works as an engineer and mix/programmer for Denki Groove and FMP. The unique chemistry of clear female voice and edgy electronic music is highly acclaimed in UK and other European countries though the songs are mostly in Japanese. They made their debut with seven song EP “blue drum (UPRI-001). In February 2001, they released their first full album “Mariner’s Valley”, followed by other 12 inch, and Eps. “POP MUSIC”, released in 2003, was the reminiscence of the 80’s in their own way, favored by many fans. They have been on top of the game with “SUNSET BICYCLE” from “POST PRODUCTION” chosen as the single of the month by MIZ MAG, a UK club music magazine. In 2004 they released their self-titled masterpiece “OVERROCKET”. The sound was way more profound than ever, making the album authentic, describing the band’s world of view.
