There are at least 2 artists with the name Rarity: 1) Rarity is a pop punk band from Hamilton, Ontario. Forming as Face Value, they put out the music video for Anne Hathaway in early 2015, and three days later were swooped up by Rise Records, where they would change their name to Rarity and release 1 EP in 2015 and a studio album, I Couldn't Be Weaker in 2016. The band joined New Damage Records in 2019 and released The Longest Lonesome and followed it up in 2024 with Lower Feeling. 2) Rarity is a female unicorn pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is Sweetie Belle's older sister and the subject of Spike's long-term crush. Rarity lives and works at her own shop in Ponyville called the Carousel Boutique, where she takes care of her pet Persian cat Opalescence. She represents the element of generosity.
