Saidiwas was an anarchist vegan straight edge avantgarde pop/punk band from Umeå, Sweden. They started out in 1996 and put out a self titled MCD on Desperate Fight Records. Their early work is highly influenced by the mid-80's Washington D.C. revolution summer scene. The year after in 1997 they kicked out their vocalist and the drummer took over the vocal duties, this also brought a change in musical style. The new line up recorded their only full-length «All Punk Cons». The title is a nod to The Jam's «All Mod Cons» album. On this album the band also tries to sound a bit like The Jam and other mod revival groups. After an turbulent european tour the band fell apart at some point during 1998. Saidiwas shared members with other Umeå bands like: Separation, Beyond Hate, Doughnuts and Final Exit. One member continued in The (International) Noise Conspiracy. Read more on Last.fm.
