"Hiroshima" is the first track on the 5th album of German singer Sandra, Paintings in Yellow , released on March 26, 1990. It was released as the first of four singles from the album on January 29, 1990. "Hiroshima" is a cover of Wishful Thinking's Hiroshima from 1970. Sandras former husband Michael Cretu produced this version in 1989, published by Virgin Records. The song entered the German charts on February 12, 1990 at #49, it reached its peak #4 on March 26, 1990 (Release-Date of the album) and stayed there for 3 weeks. Read more on Last.fm.

Sandra Ann Lauer (born 18 May 1962), later Sandra Cretu, commonly known under her mononymous stage name of Sandra, is a Franco-German pop singer who enjoyed mainstream popularity in the 1980s and early 1990s with a string of European hit singles, produced by her then-husband and musical partner, Michael Cretu, most notably (I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena (1985), In the Heat of the Night (1985), Everlasting Love (1987), Secret Land (1988), Hiroshima (1990), and Don't Be Aggressive (1992).
