Kim Se-jeong (김세정; born August 28, 1996), known mononymously as SEJEONG (세정), is a South Korean singer signed under Jellyfish Entertainment. She is best known for finishing second in Mnet's K-pop girl group survival show Produce 101 and was a former member of I.O.I, gugudan and its subgroup gugudan SEMINA. She debuted as a soloist on November 22, 2016 with the song ‘꽃길 (Flower Way)’, a song was produced by ZICO on the Talents for Sale variety show as part of a 30 minute mission. Later on this song was officially released under Jellyfish Entertainment's Jelly Box. She made her acting debut in 2016, but it was in 2017 when she landed her first main role and won the Best New Actress Award in 2017 with her drama ’School 2017’. One of her most popular works to this date is the popular Netflix/TVING series ‘The Uncanny Counter’, released in 2020-2021, where she performed the song ‘Meet Again’ as the second track for the drama's OST album. The drama would return in 2023 for a season 2 titled ‘The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch’, where she would once again participate in the OST album with the track ‘Once Again’. Her most internationally known work is in the form of the Netflix/SBS drama ‘Business Proposal’, where she participated in the OST album with an acoustin rendition of the track ‘Love Maybe’. On March 29, 2021, SEJEONG released her second EP titled ‘I’M’ which features five songs all written by SEJEONG. In line with this, her label, Jellyfish Entertainment, changed her brand in all streaming sites from ‘SEJEONG’ to ‘KIMSEJEONG’, which unfortunately caused a new set of statistics in sites like Last.fm; or in cases like Deezer and YouTube Music, her albums ended up under two different artist profiles. Despite focusing on her acting career, SEJEONG made her music comeback with her debut full-length studio album titled ‘문(門)’ (Door), with the lead single ‘Top or Cliff’. Read more on Last.fm.
