Incorporating heavy music with a soundscape influenced edge, Transmission0 came out of the ashes of dutch hardcore band Reveal. With the break-up of this band in 2001 guitarist Mischa van Rodijnen and bassplayer Dave van Beek decided it was time for a new chapter in their musical career. Being both big metalfans, but also fans of bands like Sonic youth and the Cure, they decided to try and link up these two styles of music. After Michiel van der Avoird was asked to join the band on vocals, keys and samplers, Transmission0's debut album '0' was recorded in August, September and October of 2003. After this, drummer Bart Waalen and guitar player Leon de Groot joined the band. Transmission0 got picked up fairly quickly and began playing shows (e.g. at the prestigious Furyfest in Le Mans, France). In July 2004 debut album '0' was released on Go-Kart Records. As the interest in the band grew, interviews were done with magazines such as Terrorizer and RockSound UK. Transmisson0 toured Europe with Canadian rockers The End (Relapse records) & The Power and the Glory (Deathwish inc.). After some time off, T0's second album 'Memory Of A Dream’ was recorded. The record saw a European (Go-kart Records) and North American (Candlelight Records) release on November 20th 2006. 'Memory Of A Dream' was received exceptionally well by leading magazines such as Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Rock Sound, RockTribune and Aardschok. Transmisssion0 disbanded around June 2007.
