Golden Lapse [Explicit]
Two bands with the name Treehorn. 1) Treehorn (from Italy): Born into an ex-cellar of a gloomy and loser town in the wild Cuneo, Treehorn is a trio made by drums, guitar and bass / vocals. Since 2008 they have been known in Italy and France, earning the reputation as one of the bands with the most powerful impact live. Treehorn's sound comes from “Touch And Go” school, mixed with various influences, such as post / hc, stoner and blues that make their groove hard to classify. In April 2011 they released their first full length album Hearth, produced by Escape From Today Records and Riff Records (Italy), and A Tant Rever Du Roi and Swarm Records (France). The album was recorded at Blue Record Studio in Mondovi (CN), by Massimiliano Moccia, sound engineer of Uzeda, Three Second Kiss, Fuh and Dead Elephant among others; the master session has been done by Bob Weston (Shellac) at his Chicago Mastering Studios. Recorded and mixed exclusively in analog way, Hearth has in just 40 minutes 8 tracks that dig from earth to heart. Brunches stuck in the skull, blessings, bites to cancer, wired tendons. Roads become mirrors, waiting for entry into the purgatory. This is Hearth”. 2) Treehorn is a musical project from New England with a varying membership, ranging from a solo acoustic performer, to a full band, including drums, electric guitars, and keyboards. The music is a blend of Folk and Americana, with roots in the Punk and Indie Rock. The early recordings recall the early home-recorded work of Lou Barlow, or Bill Callahan. The stripped down Do it Yourself aesthetic and stark production lends itself perfectly to the intimate confessional themes that appear throughout the music. The music strives to capture, and distill the raw grain of emotion of the protagonist in each of the songs. Treehorn's discography includes summerschool (1998), Art School Took Its Toll on You (1999), Birds (1999-02), Thanksgiving (2001-2004). Several of the albums have been issued several times with varying tracklists. The long rumored album the Black Balloon never appears to have been issued. The Place Where I'm Calling From was recorded in the summer of 2007. No release date has been announced. Treehorn is rumored to be collaborating with former band-mate seanpaultragedy on an upcoming album. Read more on Last.fm.
