1) - USA (United Sound Assault) - A metal band from Boston. Singer Mike McCarthy came from the prolific Saugus band Joshua Hayes. USA had a track on the first local CD compilation ABCD A Boston Compact Disc in 1988. There are rumours that they still rock to this day. Please fix your tags to うさ! 5) - An indie rock band: USA consisted of Gene Booth, Brian Calvin, Corre Dilworth, and Devin Johnston. The band formed in Chicago in 1994 and disbanded in 1998. In those four years, it released an ep entitled Ybbissai Baby (Drag City, 1995), produced by Bundy K. Brown, and a full length record entitled Little Birds (Drag City, 1998), produced by Jim O'Rourke. They toured the Northeast with Smog and the South with Palace Brothers. USA's first full-length release for Drag City, Little Birds, shows the group inventively finding ways of using the limited budget and equipment at their disposal, making for a fresh, unpredictable listening experience. -- Steve Huey, All Music Guide 6) - The United States of America was an American experimental rock band founded in Los Angeles in 1967 by composer Joseph Byrd and vocalist Dorothy Moskowitz, with electric violinist Gordon Marron, bassist Rand Forbes and drummer Craig Woodson. Their 1968 self-titled album, often cited as an early showcase for the use of electronic devices in rock music, was met with critical acclaim and minor chart success. 7) - An American hard rock band featuring Larry Baud, Preston Tiley and Rod Margolis.
