In the beginning of 2000 Rustam with his friend Mike Cheater forms the Unformal The first studio record they had ever had was Apocalypse 21 in Wire Records. BIC Fest 01 was a very big event for Baku Underground organized by ODER. Unformal gets Golden Moon award as the best rock band in Azerbaijan in 2001. From the beginning of 2002 the band gives several concerts all over the country. 25th July 2002 the band participates on International Festival dedicated to day of music. In the beginning of 2002 the band looked as following: Rustam Mamedov- vocals, Vaqif Zaliev- guitars, Farida Jafarova-bass, Evqeniy Manukhin-drums. Like that in August of 2002 the band starts recording their first debut album. They already had 25 ready songs. They record 14 of them, and the album consists of 11 of them. Norm of Reality gets released in January of 2003. In March 2003 Unformal s invited by the Georgian rock-legend Lado Burduli to participate in festival For Peaceful Caucasus. 15th of May the band finds themselves in Tbilisi, Georgia. The next day they perform at the festival. In July 2003 Vaqif Zaliev moves to Moscow and Evqeniy Manukhin joins the national army. Later Imran Rzaev and Rustam Aliyev (from already existing young alternative band 13%) replace Vaqif and Evqeniy gets temporarily replaced by Fred from the same band. Like that the band records a new song Nebz. In July 2003 they go on a tour and give concerts all over Azerbaijan: Ganja, Minqechevir, Tovuz, Sheki, Zaqatala, Sumqait, Qusar. Later 18th October 2003 they perform on central concert hall of Azerbaijan, Republic Palace. This concert gets broadcasted live all over the country. In December the band participates in the New Year show on Space TV Channel and performs Gulag Ass. In January 2004 band starts to record their second album. In February 2005 band released second album. In April 2006 Bands musi has liceinsed by MTVN. After their concert in Baku on the 21st of October, Unformal is ready now to release their new album in Ukraine with the new producer Vitaliy.
