velamy (stylized in lowercase), also known by her name Sarah Hayes is an electronic producer, born in 2005 in North Carolina. She's best known for her drum+and+bass album Event Horizon, taking inspiration from artists like Sewerslvt and early goreshit. She first learned how to produce when she got into the mashup scene, appearing on Mashup Week albums. This experimentation is a phrase looked on poorly by the artist, but allowed her to gain the skills to produce her album. She grew in popularity following the addition of her song my tornado is resting to community DnB playlists, the genre she's associated with. While some artists would take this recognition and take the spotlight, velamy laid low and only produced rarely. She starting experimenting with her sound releasing singles like startone (Nue Houjuu no High Speed), maritime, and bebbercore. She occasionally participates in collaborations too, namely the defunct hyperpop duo Poised, the ambient/drone duo A Cat and A Bunny, and Sudden Death. Velamy may also refer to the mashup artist Amanda Velez, who created pop music mashups in 2016/17 but remains inactive. Her most notable mashup is Twenty One Pilots- HEATHENS MEGAMIX (Panic!
