verifiziert (Verena Haselböck; born 1996 in Vienna) is an Austrian singer. Biography: Verena Haselböck was born in Vienna in 1996, where she grew up and still lives today. She released her first single under the name Verifiziert, Golf 4, together with Giacomo X at the end of 2019. The stage name is derived from her nickname “Veri” and was still available on Instagram at the time. After several further single releases, she put out the EP Sonntag 17:00 in 2020. At the end of 2021, the EP 40100 was released via Columbia Records. Verifiziert has performed at major festivals including Frequency, Donauinselfest, Openair Frauenfeld, MS Dockville, Reeperbahn Festival, and c/o pop. She was also part of the lineup for Yes We Care, a large benefit concert in support of the victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. In November 2021, FM4 named her “Soundpark Act of the Month”, and she reached number 30 on the station’s annual best-of list. In addition, she received two nominations at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in 2022. On 2 March 2023, Verifiziert released her debut album adhs. The title refers to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and aims to draw attention to adult ADHD in women, which the artist herself lives with. Her second album, bulletholes, was released on 1 November 2024. Across its 13 tracks, she addresses topics such as a former eating disorder, failed relationships, and the search for self-acceptance. She was selected as curator of Popfest Vienna 2025. Musically, Verifiziert moves between lo-fi house, reggaeton, contemporary R&B, and cloud rap, a style she describes as “cloud pop”. Her music has been compared to artists such as Symba and Haiyti, as well as the early sound of Yung Hurn. Her German-language lyrics often focus on everyday life, which she says she has always enjoyed romanticizing. She cites Stefanie Sargnagel as an inspiration. The song Sommersprossen quotes from Nur ein Wort, while Schlaflos references Barfuß am Klavier by AnnenMayKantereit. Cars and driving appear repeatedly as motifs in her work.
