MOONRAKER - EP

WurtS is a Japanese solo artist born in the 21st century who creates entirely on his own, handling lyrics, composition, arrangement, artwork, and video production. Blending dance music with elements of rock, hip hop, and soul, his work evolves constantly into a genre-defying form of pop that is uniquely his. He made his debut in November 2020 with The Chair of Capitalism. His track I Don’t Understand, posted to TikTok in January 2021, quickly went viral, drawing wide attention to his sound. That same year, WurtS released a string of ambitious EPs including Lemon Days, MAGICAL SOUP (which featured the breakout track Wakaranaiyo), and Radio Sausage, which included commercial and brand tie-ups such as Little Dancer feat. Ito (PEOPLE 1) for Toyota and BOY MEETS GIRL for ZONe. By December, his first full-length album Once Upon a Revival was released, marking a breakthrough moment in his career. 2022 saw WurtS move into the live scene, beginning with his first concert at Liquid Room in April and selling out his first nationwide tour with PEOPLE 1 as a guest in June. That year also brought major collaborations, including music for Pocari Sweat, the release of his EP MOONRAKER, and his first successful solo tour, WurtS LIVE 2022. Momentum carried into 2023 with high-profile releases such as Melt (JR SKISKI campaign song), Time Lag! feat. Moto (Chilli Beans.), and BORDER for Weekly Shonen Jump's popular series SAKAMOTO DAYS. His sold-out tours (WurtS LIVEHOUSE TOUR I & II) and appearances at major festivals solidified his reputation as one of the most in-demand new artists in Japan. In 2024, WurtS expanded even further with SF Tokyo, his drama theme debut for TV Asahi’s Great Gift, followed by a highly produced hall tour, the release of his EP Evolution, and his first movie theme song NOISE. This trajectory builds towards the release of his much-anticipated second album Genki de Itine on October 30, 2024, followed by his first performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan just a day later. With a relentless pace of releases, genre-crossing creativity, and a rapidly expanding live presence, WurtS has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting voices in Japanese pop music today.
