Biography FOR BOOKINGS EMAIL: amneziabooking@gmail.com XAD - eXtreme Attention Disorder is a neurobehavioraldevelopmental disorder. It is primarily characterized by the co-existence of attentional problems and hyperactivity, with each behavior occurring infrequently alone. In an attempt to accomplish one last thing the two Swedes Karl-Henrik Ekman and Ted Egger met in a studio, which was located in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. The journey started in March 2009 and soon a concept, an EP and a vision had been established. The anxiety and fears of two Swedes in a distant world from where they were originated led to a very long creative progress. The result of it all “Distant Future”, which was finally released in December 2011 on a limited USB stick that sold out within weeks. Two music videos were also released and then finally XAD had become a little community of musicians playing the songs of Distant Future and new songs. It had become evident that XAD would become a full band during spring 2011. Then in January XAD released Distant Future world wide on all the major digital vendors via their record label, Future Freak Management. The songs were well taken by the listeners of Spotify and customers of such vendors as iTunes and Amazon. XAD gained supporters all over the world including USA, Brazil and Yemen. In the Netherlands and the Nordic countries they held their strongest support and a buzz was created. Then the band became complete with the XAD Drummer Wessel Kuit and the Key player Devin Lafferty joined the rest in a quest to take the world on. A new chapter in the XAD story started and an EP is on the way. The songs of this EP will wrap up all the XAD’s former sins and mistakes. As turned to Mary and she turned to Gold! 4 songs (Helen of Troy, All your Starlight, Spanish Fly and Mary Turns to gold) that summarizes all that XAD stands for and a tour to show the world in a desperate craving for Attention what XAD is all about...Though XAD was formed in Amsterdam it is a Haarlem band since Ted Egger and most of the members is from there and they are currently working on the upcoming tour that is set to Kick Off 26th of August, 2011 in their home town Haarlem, The Netherlands.
