"I Needed" was written in 2011. It was the first new song for the album. She originally set out to work on her back catalog of material that had yet to be recorded, and when she wrote this song she decided to include a selection of old and new songs. Coming from the Greater Los Angeles area, Carol lives in Pomona, just 30 miles east of L.A. Carol Annette had been song-writing and performing for over 30 years in a number of bands including Four Parts, Metal of the Road, The Motherfolkers, and Technopagan. The styles ranged from, blues based rock, folk rock, singer/songwriter, to a recent dabbling in electronic dance music.To Hell and Forward is her first and only solo album.
