The final track on "To Hell and Forward", "Rollerskate", was written in 2011. It was chosen to be the final cut on the album because Carol felt like it most closely expressed the state of mind that she was in when she completed the album. She wanted the album to end on a positive note, to represent her own personal evolution during the past 30 years. Read more on Last.fm.

Coming from the Greater Los Angeles area, Carol lives in Pomona, just 30 miles east of L.A. Carol Annette had been song-writing and performing for over 30 years in a number of bands including Four Parts, Metal of the Road, The Motherfolkers, and Technopagan. The styles ranged from, blues based rock, folk rock, singer/songwriter, to a recent dabbling in electronic dance music.To Hell and Forward is her first and only solo album. Her influences include Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, The Eurythmics, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depech Mode, and Bjork. Read more on Last.fm.
