Adelaide based post rock outfit iiah have released their debut self-titled EP and embark on a string of shows through July and August. Formed in August 2013, iiah consists of Tim Day (vocals, keyboards), Matthew Stedman (drums), Nick Rivett (guitars, bass) and Ben Twartz (guitars, bass, vocals). The EP was recorded and mixed by Joseph Cheek at Island Studios (Lost Woods) and mastered by Mick Wordley at Mixmasters, the 6 track EP is their first official release. The self-titled EP showcases iiah’s rich and innovative sound that explores new avenues of instrumentation though bowed electric guitar, soaring vocals and ambient textures. Drawing inspirations from Sigur Ros to The National, there is a diversity across the EP from powerful instrumentals to melancholic storytelling.
