Johnathan Babiuk, known artistically as trndytrndy, is a musician based in Rochester, New York, who creates music across a blend of electronic subgenres, including hyperpop, utopian virtual, digital fusion and electropop. Babiuk has experimented with various sounds and aliases, releasing his early singles under the monikers Cube Panda and Ringtail. As Cube Panda, he dropped the single impulse on February 20, 2018, and later that year released I'll Never Forget This Night under the name Ringtail on October 9. Since 2020, Babiuk has been releasing music under the name trndytrndy, starting with the EP songs1 on April 18, 2020, which features a mix of breakcore, digicore, EDM, hyperpop, and plunderphonics. This debut established trndytrndy's signature sound that fuses high-energy digital sounds with a playful, futuristic aesthetic. He continued with songs2, released on November 6, 2020, and songs3, on August 1, 2021, adding vaporwave elements into his hyperpop and EDM foundations. His single hotel room was released on June 6, 2022, followed by the halloween ep on October 31, 2022. In 2023, trndytrndy compiled unreleased tracks, demos, and remixes from 2020 in archives vol.1, giving fans a glimpse into his creative process during the development of his initial EPs. His latest release, Virtua, came out on July 19, 2024, continuing his journey through hyperpop and experimental electronic landscapes. Read more on Last.fm.
