南弘明
南弘明 (Hiroaki Minami, June 21, 1934) is a Japanese composer. Professor Emeritus of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he established the Japan Electronic Music Association in 1992 and is considered a pioneer of synthesizer music. Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the Fukuoka Prefectural Yahata High School, and then graduated from the Tokyo College of Music. Later entered to a College School of Music in Germany. After returning home, started teaching at the Tokyo College of Music and at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He also continued his composition activities. In 1976 Hiroaki Minami built a private studio for self-made synthesizers in his home. Electronic Symphony No. 1 is his earliest composition, a five-movement of spacy and noisy sounds of analog synthesizer. Read more on Last.fm.
