新垣里沙

Niigaki Risa (新垣里沙, born October 20, 1988 in Kanagawa, Japan) is a Japanese Pop singer and idol managed by J.P. Room. She was formerly part of Hello! Project as a fifth generation member and the former leader of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume (モーニング娘。). She joined Morning Musume in 2001 along with Takahashi Ai, Konno Asami and Ogawa Makoto and on May 18, 2012, she graduated from Morning Musume and Hello! Project, alongside Mitsui Aika, at Nippon Budokan. Originally, Risa wanted to graduate alongside Ai, but stayed in Morning Musume to train the 10th generation members. She passed the role of leader of Momusu and H!P to Michishige Sayumi, while Tanaka Reina became subleader. Overall, only Pyoco Pyoco Ultra and Ren'ai Hunter were released while Niigaki Risa was in leadership. Read more on Last.fm.
