1.BABYMONSTER (Hangul: 베이비몬스터; Katakana: ベイビーモンスター; also stylized as BABYMONS7ER) are a South Korean 7-member girl group under YG Entertainment. The group consists of RUKA, PHARITA, ASA, AHYEON, RAMI, RORA, and CHIQUITA.Their fandom name is:MONSTIEZ(‪몬스티즈‬) They released their first single "BATTER UP" on November 27, 2023 as a six-piece, Ahyeon being absent due to health reasons. On January 25, YG Entertainment announced that Ahyeon would be rejoining BABYMONSTER due to improvements in her health. The first mini-album "BABYMONS7ER" marks the official seven-member group debut. On August 14, it was announced through BABYMONSTER's Japanese website that they will be releasing their first Japanese digital single, "Batter Up -JP Ver", on August 16. On September 23, YG Entertainment confirmed reports that BABYMONSTER had completed the recording and filming stages for their first full-length album.On October 8, it was announced that they would be releasing their first full-length album, "DRIP" on November 1. On May 26, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER will be releasing the pre-release single "HOT SAUCE" in July, another pre-release single in September, followed by their second mini album scheduled for October 1, which is only sung by 6 of the 7 members, as RAMI has presumably gone on a temporary hiatus due to health complications/reasonings. On August 18, it was announced that BABYMONSTER's second mini album, "WE GO UP", would be released on October 10. 2) Portland, OR-based electro-indie pop duo Baby Monster were formed in the late 2000s around the talents of Danny Sternbaum and Marty Larson. The band's penchant for hook-filled anthemic dancefloor jams has drawn comparisons to contemporaries like MGMT and Passion Pit. Baby Monster released their debut single, “Ultra Violence and Beethoven,” on 50 Bones Records in 2009, followed by the 7 inch “She Comes Alive” and “Sudden Symphony” on Big Stereo in 2010.
