Bewkenheimer

BEWKENHEIMER formed during the 90’s, in Worcester, MA. That time period saw it's share of great hardcore/metal acts on the rise, in central Massachusetts, and beyond. Bewk rooted itself firmly, and quickly became one of the front runners. Many crowds witnessed, their action packed, live performances, at sold out venues, throughout the region and states. In the mid 90's they showcased, at CBGB's, for Epic & Warner Bros, and later at Sir Morgan's Cove, for TVT Records. Soon after that performance, Vocalist Clark Brown was recruited by Geezer Butler, from Black Sabbath, to front Butler's solo project, GZR. Drummer, Lance Cole, was asked to join Birdbrain, and landed a national tour. After the completion of their side projects, they picked back up, and continued to cultivate the drilling sound, that is distinguishably BEWK. They kept pounding out live performances, to capacity crowds, and garnered more & more attention. By this time they were reaching audiences both locally, and worldwide. They were a favorite on Garageband.com, and won a global competition, due to the far reaching popularity of their songs, Isolation Room, and Confined. They were awarded a recording contract, which enabled them to produce their self entitled album, which is available for purchase, on this site. Many of their earlier songs from that time, remain today, and still demand attention, as if they were written yesterday. That sort of seamlessness is one element that makes this band stand out. They are possessed by a rare musical intuition that continually propels them into the future. Bewk is currently working on another CD, which will be released in early 2007. Clark Brown, and Lance Cole are vital members from the original lineup, that have remained with the band since day one. Andy Holmes (Guitar/Vocals) has lent his fiery spirit since 2003, whose contributions are immeasurable. Chad Taylor (Bass), rythmic to the bone, replaced original member Matt Cole (Guitar/Bass), in early 2006. Matt was an integral musical voice, in the band, throughout it's history. Bewk is now ushering in a new chapter, that is sure to deliver heart pounding riffs, and primal lyrics, that we have all come to demand. Read more on Last.fm.
