Desertfire

Desertfire is a stoner/hardcore/ hard rock 'n' roll band from Norway, Oslo. Georg and Nils met at Bøler Klubbrock XXL '08 through the single most powerful medium in human evolution: Smoking. Nils being shitfaced and playing Tom Waits songs on an electric organ didn't seem to bother Georg, given that Nils had a pack of Luckies and a Rush t-shirt, and the two decided that combining Georg's frenetic drumming with Nils' inability to competently play more than two notes in succession and sing at the same time would be a great idea. Phone numbers were exchanged, and a three-hour jam session ensued when the hangover had settled (and Nils wondered who this Georg guy on his cell phone was) The chemistry was above average, and after going through several guitarists in the course of August-December, Henrik finally joined, completing the line-up. His amazing guitarwork and Hendrix-like solos was a perfect addition to the band. This libido-driven hard rock stands out in the Oslo rock scene these days, mostly because of the energy and pure megalomania that radiates from the band.
