Fraughman

Fraughman emerged in Newcastle's mid-90s band scene, quickly gaining a reputation for chaotic, experimental noise performances. Initially a group, it eventually became the solo project of Steve Stuart, who blended hardcore, breakbeats, and noise with harsh feedback and raw, unpolished distortion. Stuart was a key figure in the Australian hardcore and breakcore scene, he was almost the puzzle piece connecting it all. In addition to notable appearances on Bloody Fist Records and System Corrupt, he founded the label Extreme Electronics and co-owned Power Violence. In 2000, he formed the breakcore/hip-hop duo Diablo Negro with DJ Zeitgeist, though the project was short-lived, ending around 2005 when Fraughman became largely inactive. He made a comeback in the mid-2010s with the 8th House of Ghosts project, which introduced two new bands: Rubber Nurse (RBRNRSE) and End Projekt. These bands explore a Darkwave sound with elements of ambient, noise, and industrial music. Read more on Last.fm.
