Pigeondust

Pigeondust is a Japanese hip hop producer and beatmaker. His label Cold Busted describes him as based in Chiba, Japan, and as part of a younger generation of Japanese beatmakers who draw on a wide range of genres. His instrumental tracks are built from sampled records, with jazz, funk and world music among the sources, and he has described sampling as a kind of collaboration. His releases include the album Eastbound Ticket and the beat tape 7th Wonder, a 14-track joint project with fellow Japanese producer Bugseed. For Cold Busted he recorded Moon, Wisdom & Slackness (2015) and the 36-track double album Way Back When, which features a guest appearance by Turkish producer Ozoyo. He also put together the guest mix 'P' Plays It Woof for the hip hop site The Find Mag. Read more on Last.fm.
