Substratos is an independent cinematic rock project that blends melodic rock with melodic metal influences, placing a strong emphasis on memorable melodies, expressive vocals, and emotionally driven songwriting. Its sound combines melodic electric guitars and acoustic arrangements with rich orchestral textures, featuring instruments such as violin, cello, oboe, and bassoon, often complemented by expressive male and female vocal duets.
