TU→YU

There are 2 artists with the name TUYU. 1. TUYU (ツユ) was a Japanese pop group consisting of ぷす (Pusu) on guitar, 礼衣 (Rei) as vocals, and Miro on piano. おむたつ(Omutatsu) was in charge of the illustrations until March 2022, and AzyuN was in charge of video design. 双葉陽 (HutabaHaru) was also in charge of illustration. TUYU disbanded on June 8, 2024. Biography: 「やっぱり雨は降るんだね」 (It’s Raining After All; romanized yappari ame wa furundane) was released as a full album on March 2020. TUYU’s second full album 「貴方を不幸に誘いますね」 (I’ll put you in misery; romaji anata o fukou ni sasoimasu ne) released on July 14th, 2021. TUYU's final song and single release was 「それでも雨は降るんだね」(It's Raining Nevertheless/Romaji: soredemo ame wa furundane) which premiered on April 13, 2024. Attempted murder from Pusu: On May 31st, 2024, Pusu (ぷす), also known as Yano Asaya (矢野麻也), was arrested for the attempted murder of a teenage girl he was dating. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a caller reported that he had stabbed her in a room of an apartment in Nogata, Nakano Ward, just before 10:00 a.m. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found a girl that had been stabbed in the chest. She was later taken to the hospital, and is still conscious. The girl was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife in the apartment Pusu and the girl shared. The girl was asleep in her bedroom when she was stabbed with a kitchen knife, and the bloodied kitchen knife was found beside her bed. Pusu was subjected to emergency arrest by law enforcement after he admitted that he stabbed her once in the left chest with a knife. He also made a comment about the incident: I wanted to stab her to death and then commit suicide. As a result of his arrest, TUYU disbanded. Disbandment: On June 8, 2024, Rei, miro, and AzyuN made their final statements on TUYU's official twitter, announcing the end of TUYU. Along with this, the developers of the popular game Project Sekai: Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku made a decision to remove the TUYU produced songs, What Sort of Ending Are You Wishing For? and When The Morning Glory Falls from the game. With What Sort of Ending Are You Wishing For? being a commissioned song, they decided to remove the SEKAI version from Youtube and Streaming Platforms as a result. SEGA's Arcade rhythm games CHUNITHM, Maimai, and ONGEKI announced removal of TUYU's music from their song lists as well. On November 26, 2024, Pusu announced that he would delete all of TUYU's music on December 31st, 2024 at 23:59 (11:59 PM) JST. However, on January 1, 2025, TUYU announced that they would not delete all of TUYU's music due to the majority opposing it, and also dismissed Pusu from the group, and therefore stopping the deletion of TUYU's music. Pusu also announced that he had made peace with Rei. 2. TU→YU was a temporary supergroup formed under the Japanese talent agency Johnny's Entertainment, consisting of Yaotome Hikaru (Hey!Say Jump!), Masuda Takahisa (NEWS), Nagano Hiroshi (V6), Johnny's Junior Kazama Shunsuke, and actor Takeda Tetsuya. The group initially began as a fictional band for a Tokyo Suisan noodle soup commercial. Due to its popularity, TU→YU was allowed to release a song as a mobile debut, meaning the song and its music video were only available for download on cell phones throughout Japan. The group's name, ツユ (TU→YU), was a pun on the Japanese word for the soup base served with ramen. The song, titled「そばにいるよう」 (romanized soba ni iru you, meaning: I'll Stay by Your Side), a pun played on the word soba, a type of noodle. The band said that after their debut, they were determined to release more singles and hold concerts. The song 「そばにいるよう」 was available for download in Japan starting November 17, 2008, on mobile platforms and from December 1st on the Johnny's Entertainment website. Read more on Last.fm.
