elusin
Elusin is a Norwegian-American producer, cellist, singer, songwriter, and rapper. While she is half-Norwegian, she has stated that she's lived in Virginia, USA longer than anywhere else. In 2019, she released her debut single, Friends which received much praise for her ethereal vocals and bleak instrumentals and lyrics. For the next three years, she continued releasing singles, the most popular of which being Silhouette, before announcing her debut album Synfuels in 2022. Following its release, Synfuels garnered much attention and praise for its distinct sound, combining Witch House and Dream Pop. Her dark and melancholic style has some similarity with the Japanese artist Antihoney Elusin has also collaborated with multiple artists, most notably contributing vocals to Sematary's song 9 Scarecrows, and cello on Malibu's EP Palaces of Pity.
