Bart Van Meulebroeck, better known as Nevel, is a producer and DJ from Lubbeek, Belgium mainly focussing on a blend of electronic leftfield, indie electronics, ambient, and psychedelic dub, with a background of over 20 years on stage, and behind the synths and samplers, and with his name behind projects like Artifical Night, Propulsion (winners of the Eurorock Contest, finalists of Debuutrock), Nebula-H (signed to the same label as Front 242), Men Versus Machine (electronic 80s cover band), and Ex.Es (industrial). Each of these are electro/ebm/dance projects focused on danceable music.. straight from the Belgian underground, and up. His magnum opus The Hageland best describes his style and creativity in the space, with him using the sounds of nature of the region he grew up in, known as 'Het Hageland', situated between the Belgian cities of Leuven and Diest; resulting in a double album, 2 sides of 10 tracks each serving an experience of electronic music that drifts between ambient, dub, krautrock, lounge, and minimal. Live sets offer a danceable experience, always complemented by visuals. Nevel is sometimes compared to The Orb, Boards Of Canada, Brian Eno, Biosphere, Jean-Michel Jarre, Trentemøller, Aphex Twin, Dominik Eulberg and more. https://nevel.bandcamp.com/ Or of the same name, a depressive black metal band from Utrecht, The Netherlands, featuring members; Laster, Freja, Mystagogue, and Wrang. https://nevelbm.bandcamp.com Read more on Last.fm.
