Lock-in Sessions at Abbey Road


The closing track from IDLES' second album Joy as an Act of Resistance, “Rottweiler” had been performed live as early as 2016. Joe Talbot told Gigwise that “the first track we wrote after ‘Brutalism’ is the last one on the album, ‘Rottweiler’”. It’s about Talbot’s dislike of the tabloids which he’s publicly spoken out about as he believes they’re used to blame minority groups for government issues. Idles are an English post-punk band formed in Bristol, England in 2009. The success of the band’s debut EP “Welcome” did not go unnoticed and so it happened that BBC Introducing in the Southwest honoured the group as “Band of The Year” in 2012.
