“hypochondriac” is the outro of the album of the same name, as in the previous track, “introvert,” the robotic voice states “brakence has been successfully eradicated”. This implies the person we are now hearing is Randy. He then begins to sing a more relaxed take on the intro to “venus fly trap” with adlibs disagreeing to the lyrics. Randy Findell, better known as brakence, is a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Columbus, OH. As a teenager, brakence began to produce his own music, and after dropping out of college, he began to focus solely on his music career. His music is lateral to the hyperpop and digicore scenes, while also blending styles of glitch pop, emo, electronic, and hip-hop. He released his label debut, punk2, in March 2020, featuring the single dropout. In December 2022, brakence released his second full length project, hypochondriac, preceded by 5 singles.
